Lengthy Discussion around Policy EGA. The following Key areas will be sent to the SAU for discussion and consideration. Tim will send to SAU
  • Need a Provider Responsibility Policy
  • Need a User Responsibility Policy (Responsible Use Policy)
  • Should not be limited to Internet Access
  • Technology Advisory Council will review in May
  • Wording changes (e.g. Internet Acceptable Use Procedure change to Responsible Use Policy), Internet Code of Conduct)
  • Signature of Responsible Use valid for length of enrollment at school based on grade level (i.e. K-3 has a policy, 4-5 has a policy, and 6-8 has a policy)
  • Technology Advisory Council and Technology Teams would like to review before first reading by the Rye School Board

  • Information only regarding the meeting this Thursday - trying to provide effective 2 way communication

Google Apps
  • Sheila wonders if there is a better and more effective way to collaborate with the SAU using Google Docs. Ideas revolved around how do we want to use google apps for ryejrhigh.org (walled garden) or maybe the SAU should consider using google apps for education to enhance collaboration and possible save email costs. Will bring to the PLC meeting
EDLINE
  • Sixth Grade team wanted classes added to eliminate the pods (RED, BLUE, YELLOW, GREEN). This has caused a bit of confusion when viewing reports. When a parent or student, only sixth grade, is logged in an views student report on the right hand side of the screen it is displaying older reports. If the instead choose My Content -> Private reports on the left hand side of the screen they will see the updated reports. Tim will follow up with Edline to see if the student report side could be changed.)
